My spouse qualifies under cross-chargeability, she filed her I-485 application after mine, with me as the primary applicant. I never mentioned anything about cross-chargeability in my application.
Now the PD is current for "all -other chargeability" how do I check if my I-485 application is going to be picked up?
Any ideas how I can do that?

I jsut wondering which country/place got the strongest prospect for the multimedia industry... Australia/USA/Asia.......??
because I m thinking which places should I go to work if i want to work in this multimedia industry lets say for a couple of years..any suggestion??

I had a H1b visa but never travelled to US.My visa got cancelled without prejudice when i left the organization.My new employer filed l1b individual on my behalf.i129 was denied stating that i am a skilled worker but do not possess specialized knowledge.Moreover the position in US is that of a software engineer & does not require any specialized knowledge.Please note that I hold a Bachelor of Engineering degree(BE) in Electronics & Telecommunications with about 5 years of IT experience.
Does this mean my visa is denied?
What options do i have next?
Will this affect my further applications?

Hello,
My wife changed her status from H4 to F-1 while in USA. Now due to family situation, she wants to travel to India. She is on OPT now and working for an IT company since Apr 10.
She will be going for her first F-1 stamping. I know it is risky to go for F-1 stamping while on OPT.
a) What are her chances of get F-1 stamping?
b) What measures should we take that will increase her chances ?
If any body had similar expeince please share here.
Attorneys or any one please guide us in this regard.

I e-filed my EAD renewal application along with my wife's EAD application on 03/16 and both were approved on 04/07. We both have sequential receipt #s.
However, we received my wife's EAD on 04/12 but not mine. I am the primary application of 485.
Does this happen often ?

I applied for I485 like many others in July. I just heard my group may be spun off from its parent company and might be funded by VCs. Does this mean I cannot use my LC/I140? If/When I get my EAD will it be valid?

I am sorry to hear your situation. But don't worry, I have seen cases where they were able to recover completely. Please check this link. This has some info. Hope this helps. This article talks about an act which protects family members immigration process in such events.

I am planning to joing new empoyer on EAD even though I have proper H1B. Because employer do not want to sponser for anything. My wife is planning to go to india during this period and she will be using H4 for travel. My questions are
1. Can I swith to new job even though my wife is not here and she is going to use H4 visa which she got it as aresult of my h1b visa from my privious employer.
2. What are the thing we need to do or check before joining the new employer.
Any help in this regard is highly appriciated.

Hello,
I was wondering how long it took for everyone's check to be cashed once their packages were received at the TX service center? I'm worried because from what I read before the check cashing was almost immediate, while getting a receipt actually took longer. My package was received and signed for by Michael Salcedo on November 13th, but the check still hasn't cashed and I do not have a receipt. My husband and I are planning on travelling to Canada for Christmas, will crossing the border be a problem? Any advice anyone can give would be great! Thanks in advance!

i have paystubs & employment letter but the bank letter doesn't look so good. i live on check-to-check and my current balance is around 3K. you think i should take chance and go for the interview and hope VO doesn't ask for bank letter or doesn't mind the balance?

I've approved H1 until Apr 2011 (expired stamping in the passport) and also have EAD (I applied 485 when my family was out of country, my mistake). But as my family don't have their 485 applied, I have to be on H1. Now my confusion is when I travel out of country can I use AP to re-enter or I have to use H1 only as my family is on H4?

How about this ? Lets say your consulting firm is ready to file your I-485 upon lots of restriction such as two year agreement and to spend around 10 gran.
While the big firm who has filed the PERM and waiting for the approval. In this case, can we do both the cases to see which is better upon the current situation.
This will help few of our folks and your thoughts are always appreciated.

My I-140 got approved and priority date from EB3 got ported to EB2. I read in one of the forum threads that USCIS system would automatically identify that application is current and appropriate action will be taken. Also, I read about initiating interfile process of existing EB2 I-140 (current) with Pending I-485 application (under EB3). I am not sure whether I should wait few weeks before initiating interfile process.
I have given my biometrics in 2007 while filing I-485. Will USCIS send appointment for Biometrics again ?

Don't know if it will help anybody since i'm a June filer. I didn't file EAD along with AOS in June, but on July 11th i filed EAD with 485 RN. My check got cashed on the 13th and got the receipt# from the back. The case status says they received the application on 12th. I haven't got the Receipt notice yet though. I did write I-765 on the package.

There are instructions on your original letter from the IRS telling you that your application for an ITIN number was granted. I believe you need a copy of that letter and a copy of your ssn to send back to them. If you cant find instructions send me a private message and I will pull my letter out for you.
