My job title changed from programmer anaylst to technology and system anayst. This was an internal change in my company where they re classified everyone. My job duties remain exactly the same. My employer is also willing to write my job title as the old one on the employer verification letter.
However there is a slight problem. My recent pay stubs show my new job title. Nowhere else the old job title is mentioned..
will this be a problem?
Should I put my new job title as the one in 485 application even though my 140 and perm labor had my old title?
Please suggest

I am sure with this whole fiasco something good will turn up. It might take long but it will be for betterment of us all. I am proud to be an IV member and fully commend their ongoing efforts.

Who decides on the classification of an EB 2 or 3?
I have a masters degree and when filling my residency it was specify in the position, is it something my lawyer should have requested or Immigration decides when they receive the documentation?

To invoke AC21 after 180 days of pending I485, I140 does not have to be approved. But its risky as your I485 application is based on I140, if things go wrong with underlying I140 then your I485 case will be affected.
Please refer to Yates Memo for AC21.

Hello,
I 'm on H1-B visa already max out and got the extension for 7 th year based on perm pending.
Petition is going to expire in Sep 2011 and last week my perm got denied.
My employer is going to appeal for the perm and also going to apply H1B extension.
Also I got an offer from other employer waited long time for this exiting offer. Not sure what are my options now , is it possible to take the new opportunity or should I stick with my current employer to deal with this issue?
Looking for suggestions ASAP , thanks

do you get a FP notice only if you file AP and EAD along with your 485 ?
FP is for 485. so even if you dont apply for AP or EAD, u should still get FP notice.

Dear attorneys, I have a situation and will appreciate your response on it.
My PERM was recently approved and my company is getting ready to file the I-140. My attorney just noticed that my company at the time of registering the PERM account accidentally listed the FEIN number of their sister company (with similar name) rather than the FEIN number of the company that filed my PERM and on whose payroll I am for the last three years.
Do you think this would be a problem at the I-140 stage since the FEIN number on the PERM is different from the one on the Form I-140 and my paystubs/ W-2? My attorney is telling me that this should not be a problem as it is a typo and he can explain this to the US CIS at the time of filing the I-140 or maybe we can stay quite about it now and will explain it to the US CIS if they have any questions about it.
I will appreciate your response to this.

Last Friday was a depressing day for me. A businessman and his daughter visited me in my office. Can somebody help me on this one:
Regarding the receipt notice of I-485: which is the difference between the receipt date, receipt number and receipt notice.....from my understanding....the receipt date is when your I-485 application hits Uscis and the receipt notice is when the Uscis is really opening your package and looking at it?
Is it safe to travel( with valid H1b) knowing that your file hits the Uscis...or you have to wait for the receipt notice( now with so many filers for July, is it true that Uscis will send the receipt notice very late, maybe months, I mean later than the June filers.)?
Is it safe to travel after you file for I-485 and before getting the receipt notice....hoping that the receipt will come after you returned to U.S?

In addition to contacting the law makers, we should be contacting the media to highlight our plight. I just read on IP that the media is unaware of the BEC mess (http://www.immigrationportal.com/showpost.php?p=1406956&postcount=3019) and would be interested in taking it up. The time to get attention is now!
