I have a pending I-140 since July 2006. Today i lost my sponsor employer and don't know what to do. Can I switch my pending I-140 to another employer? What can i do NOT to lose status? I still have a valid H1B till Augist 2008 but I have travelled on my Advance Parole. Does that mean that my H1B is terminated? Please advise. Thank you.

02. How long does it take to revoke an I-140 after the employer sends the withdrawal request?
usually you get an LUD on 140 and 485 at same time. When does it happen? Depends, for some people it happens after a few weeks for some, few months.
In my case it happened on Aug 5th whereas my ex employer informed me he is requesting revoke on July first week. Apparantly - the same time my 485 also seemed to be being processed because they sent FP notice to my wife and NOID to me, we are JJuly filers and never got FP notices. When I called customer service, they advised that wife can go for FP and I have to respond to NOID and advised me to respond ASAP to continue with the case. My response reached on Aug 25th and I saw soft LUDs hitting my case continuously for 3 days - guess it is with an officer, but never got my FP notice though my wife completed it.

Sorry, I don't agree with you and also my mistake that I am linking my perm labor filing with Larrabee. I agree my perm labor is delayed because of my company.
But I have seen Larrabee handling my h1B transfer case where they screw up by missing some document. Atleast by my experience I wound not suggest my company and Larrabee as well for any immigration stuff
all our h1's transfers perm 140 got processed smoothly with larrabee...they worked all of friday and saturday to file 485's to reach by monday
it all boils down to which attorney handles your case?

People just don't want to soil their hands in cleaning their house but want others to do it for them.
Lot of people consider it below dignity to do something about GC related stuff, many just want to live they way they are, no ambitions, no motivation to work towards a change.
You are right! But many others do! And many that currently don't are just misinformed, and I believe that they can have a change of heart and attend the rally once they see it is the right thing to do!

I see a lot of boiling blood and nice thoughts, If we can find out How much it would cost to pull out a Half page or Full Page AD on prominent news paper like NY Times or WSJ etc. Work on and create a fullpage/half page ad that would be a good start in opening eyes of congress/common people.
Any thoughts.

1.Indian embassies in US...
2.Air India service is better for Goras and Goris than us...
3.Even in a website called IV and the list goes on and on.
Its been long forgotten that we were once the richest country in the world with a amazing history and cultural background.
Bottom line: Once a fellow Indian starts respecting another fellow Indian 'others will follow'.

I for one think that the SKIL provisions will be in the manager's package like last year.

There is no such thing in the Indian Constitution as the "national language." You can either read the document yourself or you can refer to the recent (late June 2010) judgment by the Gujarat High Court to this effect.
There should be respect for all Indian languages. The more Indian languages you know, the more familiar you will become with India and Indian culture. Those who do not know Hindi need not rule it out from the list of other Indian languages they could learn. And the same can be said for any of Assamese, Marathi, Gujarati, Telugu, etc.

More education generally does mean more skill. It does not always mean more pay, but this country has decided to use education and work experience as the criterion for EB category allocation.
You have put this in the best possible way. My allegiance to EB2 as I got my MS degree from US in Tech Major.

Just like IRS will be mailing checks to provide stimulus to the economy, IV bills need the stimulus of your checks to move forward.Now that Stimulus checks are in the mail, it's time for the community to loosen the purse strings and contribute to something that will benefit you immensely.
Let's not let this historic opportunity go waste over a sum of $50 or $100, something many of us spent just to get to the nearest available USCIS recognized doctor for our AOS medical tests. If these bills pass the savings are much greater - EAD/AP/DL renewal fees, FP fees, AC21 fees (whenever you change the job) etc. Now that the new Medical form has been posted - with additional TB testing - old tests may be considered invalid after a period of time ( I'm not saying they'll be, but knowing USCIS anything's possible). Not to mention job opportunities lost due to a missing plastic card - every one of us, EAD users, has at least one experience, where we couldn't apply or were denied opportunities for not having GC.
Considering the cost vs. benefits ratio, and the low risks unvolved (you aren't investing whole of your 401(k) here), let's not act 'pennywise and pound foolish'. Lets not fall victim to self-defeatist pessimism and thriftiness. If ,God forbid, the bills don't pass you are losing just 50 bucks, 100 bucks... something you'd have lost when the mail-in rebate check got lost in mail (or not got posted at all!). It's not like any of us will be losing our retirement savings or all our stocks. I'm sure no one will foreclose their homes because of it :-)
We raised more than 30K when there was no bill (Omnibus), now that there is a bill under discussion, I can't see any reason why we are taking so long to cross a modest 10K?!

E-filed AP renewal to TSC on 05/26/2009 by paying $305. Received approval email today.
